Progress in Gunnedah

Construction at the Gunnedah Koala Sanctuary is in full swing, and the brightly coloured steel framework is getting a lot of local attention!

Located in 'the koala capital of the world' on a 50-acre bush setting, the first stage of this project will house a wildlife hospital, shop and café. Gunnedah's new koala sanctuary will serve as as educational centre, and will directly support koala conservation with treatment and rehabilitation back to the wild for sick and injured koalas and our other native animals species.

Excitingly 9000 trees have already been planted to feed the park's koalas, and we're busy planning the next phase, with a wildlife sanctuary walk, eco-camping and volunteer accommodation all in the works!

A huge well done and thank you to David Payne Constructions for their outstanding work! Stay tuned for further updates as we work towards completion later this year!
