The Gunnery shortlisted at the 2024 NSW AIA Awards

Fads and fashion come and go but buildings shouldn’t. Which is why we focus on what our clients and communities really need –now and decades down the road. We love to adapt existing buildings for the present and the future.

Fundamental to our approach is an emphasis on respectful development and achieving a gentler density in our established suburbs, towns, and cities. Instead of uniform demolition, sensitive interventions to existing fabric enables the continuation of stories, meaning, identity, and culture. We believe a building is more than just its bricks and mortar.

Demonstrating how these principles guide our approach to design, we're delighted to announce that the recently completed Gunnery Transformation has been shortlisted in the Heritage, Interior Architecture, and EmAGN Project Award categories for the 2024 Australian Institute of Architects Architecture Awards.

Special thanks to our collaborators, consultants, and clients Artspace and Create NSW.
