The Gunnery Transformation at the National Trust Awards 2024

We are thrilled to announce that The Gunnery Transformation was Highly Commended in the Architecture Category at the 2024 National Trust Heritage NSW Awards. Associate Sophie Canaris also won the Young Achiever Award, dedicated to an individual aged 35 and under who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to heritage excellence.

The Gunnery Transformation has been a significant project for us, integrating the challenges of historical preservation, conservation, and protection with provocation, inspiration, and continual change.

This commendation is a testament to the collaborative efforts and the passion of everyone involved. We are deeply grateful to Artspace, Create NSW, and FDC Construction & Fitout for their unwavering support and partnership throughout this journey. Special thanks to Katherine Lu for her photography.

We extend our congratulations to the winners of the architecture category Aileen Sage for their outstanding achievement on 119 Redfern Street and to Tribe Studio Architects for their highly commended Bellevue House. It is inspiring to be acknowledged alongside such remarkable projects and talented professionals.
